The AP8803WTG-7 is a high-efficiency step-down (buck) LED driver from Diodes Incorporated in TSOT-25 surface-mount package (5-pin, 2.9x1.6mm), designed for driving up to 7 LEDs in series with constant current up to 1A. For selection, verify input voltage from 8V to 30V, switching frequency up to 700kHz for small external components, output current set via an external resistor between VIN and SET pins, dimming via DC voltage or PWM signal at CTRL pin (0.2V or lower shuts down output), high efficiency up to 92%, built-in output open-circuit protection, and operating temperature from -40°C to +105°C. Features include series LED connection for uniform brightness eliminating ballast resistors, low standby current for power-sensitive designs, and minimal PCB area due to high switching frequency.
