AT42QT1010-TSHR MICROCHIP Capacitive Touch Controller
The AT42QT1010-TSHR from Microchip is a digital burst-mode charge-transfer single-key capacitive touch sensor capable of detecting touch or proximity through glass, plastic, or wood. For selection, it draws just 16.5µA in standby, operates from 1.8–5.5V, and integrates automatic drift compensation and spread-spectrum acquisition for robust noise immunity without external components. Three speed modes balance fast 12.2ms response with ultra-low 88.6ms power-saving operation, while the HeartBeat output enables health monitoring in always-on designs. Its compact SOT-23-6 package and -40°C to +85°C range suit space-constrained and harsh environments. In application, it replaces mechanical buttons in control panels, home appliances, toys, and lighting controls, provides proximity sensing for hidden-until-lit interfaces and wake-on-approach in battery-powered devices, and serves waterproof or sealed keypads in industrial automation, medical instruments, and automotive infotainment.
