The BQ24090 is a 1-A single-cell Li-Ion and Li-Polymer linear battery charger with integrated power MOSFET and current-sense resistor, operating from a 4.35-V to 6.4-V input. It features a fixed 4.2-V charge voltage with ±0.5% accuracy, programmable charge current, and a soft-start to limit inrush current. The device includes thermal regulation to prevent overheating, overvoltage protection (OVP), and charge status outputs. Packaged in a 10-pin HVSSOP with PowerPAD, the BQ24090 is ideal for space-constrained portable devices.
