The BQ24780S is a high-efficiency, synchronous battery charge controller for Li-Ion and Li-Polymer batteries, supporting 1 to 4 series cells. It operates from 4 V to 24 V input and features a 1.2-MHz switching frequency, allowing for small inductors. The device integrates a comparator for automatic power-path selection between the adapter and the battery, and includes loop compensation, programmable charge current and voltage, and charge enable. Packaged in a 28-pin WQFN (RUY), it is ideal for notebook computers and portable electronics.
