The BQ76PL455A-Q1 is an automotive-grade, 6-cell to 16-cell Li-Ion battery monitor and protector with passive cell balancing, qualified for AEC-Q100. It features independent cell voltage measurement with 2-mV accuracy, a 16-bit delta-sigma ADC for current monitoring, and multiple temperature sensor inputs. The device includes overvoltage, undervoltage, and overtemperature protection, and communicates via a daisy-chained SPI interface. Packaged in a 80-pin TQFP (TPF), it is ideal for battery management systems (BMS) in electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and energy storage systems.
