CD4021BM96 TI Shift Registers
The CD4021B is an 8-bit parallel-in/serial-out shift register with complementary outputs, operating from 3V to 18V supply. It features asynchronous parallel load capability controlled by the parallel/serial control input. When P/S control is high, data is loaded asynchronously from eight parallel inputs; when low, data shifts serially on positive clock transitions. The device provides both Q8 and Q8-bar outputs for serial data. Propagation delay is 50ns typical at 10V. Selection is ideal for high-voltage CMOS parallel-to-serial conversion. Applications include input port expansion for microcontrollers, switch and button reading, data acquisition for multiple sensors, keyboard encoders, and remote control data transmission in industrial controls.
