The CD74HC4051M96 from TI is a high-speed 8-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer built on silicon-gate CMOS technology, delivering fast switching speeds and low power consumption comparable to LSTTL. For selection, it operates from a 2V to 6V single supply and supports a wide analog input voltage range of ±5V maximum, providing excellent flexibility for mixed-signal designs. The device features low ON-resistance of 70Ω typical at 4.5V (or 40Ω typical at 9V), ensuring minimal signal attenuation.
