The DRV8251ADDAR is a highly integrated 50‑V, 4.1‑A peak H‑bridge brushed DC motor driver from Texas Instruments, featuring integrated current‑sense feedback (IPROPI) and current regulation via a current mirror, eliminating the need for external power shunt resistors. For selection, verify motor supply voltage (VM) from 4.5 V to 48 V; confirm peak output current up to 4.1 A; note PWM control interface compatible with 1.8 V, 3.3 V, and 5 V logic inputs; ensure 8‑pin HSOP with PowerPAD package fits your layout; and check integrated protections including undervoltage lockout (UVLO), auto‑retry overcurrent protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown (TSD).
