The DRV8838 is a 1.8A brushed DC motor driver with simple PWM control interface, operating from 1.8V to 11V supply. It integrates a single H-bridge with low RDS(on) FETs (280mΩ typical). The device provides direction and brake control, with 1A continuous output current. Built-in protection includes overcurrent, thermal shutdown, and undervoltage lockout. The DRV8838 features very low standby current of 30nA typical. Selection is ideal for low-voltage battery-powered motor drive applications. Applications include battery-powered toys, portable medical devices, consumer electronics, and office automation equipment requiring simple bidirectional motor control with low power consumption.
