The DS280DF810ABWR is an 8-channel, 28 Gbps multi-rate retimer from Texas Instruments with integrated signal conditioning. The device features eight independent channels supporting data rates up to 28.1 Gbps for NRZ signaling, and includes a continuously adaptive CTLE, DFE, and programmable 4-tap TX FIR filter. It features an integrated 2×2 crosspoint for each channel pair enabling lane switching, an eye opening monitor for link margin measurement, PRBS generator/checker for debug, and supports I2C control. Housed in a BGA (ABW) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C. Applications include high-speed backplane extenders, optical modules, direct-attach copper cables, and long-reach channel signal conditioning.
