The DS90C385A is a 3.3-V programmable LVDS transmitter for 24-bit flat-panel displays (FPD-Link), supporting pixel rates up to 87.5 MHz . It converts 24-bit parallel RGB data (8 bits per color) plus 4 control signals into 5 LVDS data streams and an LVDS clock. The device incorporates programmable edge rates and reduced electromagnetic interference (EMI) through low-voltage differential signaling. Typical power dissipation is 250 mW at 85 MHz. The transmitter supports spread spectrum clocking for further EMI reduction. Packaged in a 56-pin TSSOP (MTX) (14 mm × 6.1 mm), the DS90C385A is ideal for digital displays, medical imaging equipment, digital cameras, and industrial automation systems requiring high-speed video data transmission over long distances with low EMI.
