DS90UB981RTDRQ1 TI Serializers, Deserializers

The DS90UB981RTDRQ1 is an automotive-grade (AEC-Q100) FPD-Link IV serializer from Texas Instruments supporting up to 5.3 Gbps forward channel data rate, designed for high-resolution video distribution in automotive infotainment systems. It serializes 24-bit RGB or dual 24-bit RGB video inputs into a single FPD-Link IV serial stream, supporting up to 8K (7680 × 4320) resolutions. The device features bidirectional control channel for I2C, GPIO, and SPI pass-through, spread spectrum clock generation for EMI reduction, and advanced data protection with CRC and ECC. It includes integrated cable driver for long-reach transmission and supports coordinated multipoint (CMP) synchronization. Housed in a 64-pin VQFN (RTD) package (9mm × 9mm), it operates over -40°C to 105°C. Applications include automotive infotainment head units, 4K and 8K display sources, video distribution systems, and high-resolution video hubs in vehicles.
