DS90UB983RTDRQ1 TI Serializers, Deserializers

The DS90UB983RTDRQ1 is an automotive-grade (AEC-Q100) FPD-Link IV serializer from Texas Instruments supporting up to 5.3 Gbps forward channel data rate, designed for high-resolution video applications. It serializes 24-bit RGB or dual 24-bit RGB video inputs into a single FPD-Link IV serial stream, supporting up to 8K resolutions. The device features bidirectional control channel with I2C and SPI pass-through, spread spectrum clock generation for EMI reduction, and advanced link diagnostics with CRC, ECC, and BIST. It includes integrated cable driver for long-reach transmission and supports coordinated multipoint (CMP) synchronization. Housed in a 64-pin VQFN (RTD) package (9mm × 9mm), it operates over -40°C to 105°C. Applications include automotive infotainment head units, high-resolution video distribution, autonomous driving video processing hubs, and 4K/8K video sources.
