The INA186 is a 40-V low-power current-sense amplifier with a gain of 25 V/V (A1 option), operating from 1.7 V to 5.5 V supply. It features a wide common-mode voltage range of –0.2 V to 40 V, independent of the supply voltage. The device provides 100-μV typical offset voltage, 1% gain error, and 45-kHz bandwidth. It draws only 48-μA supply current typical. Packaged in a 6-pin SC-70, the INA186 is optimised for low-side and high-side current sensing in portable and battery-powered systems. Applications include battery current monitoring, power management in smartphones, portable medical devices, and overcurrent protection in consumer electronics requiring precision measurement with minimal board space.
