The ISO1042DWVR is a galvanically-isolated CAN transceiver from Texas Instruments featuring high-voltage isolation of 5000 Vrms (reinforced). The device combines a CAN transceiver with an isolation barrier, eliminating the need for separate isolation components. It is fully compliant with the ISO 11898-2 standard and supports data rates up to 5 Mbps. The device features a wide common-mode voltage range, differential signal transmission for high noise immunity, thermal shutdown protection, and a standby mode for reduced power consumption. Key features include high CMTI of 100 kV/µs, operating supply voltage range of 1.71V to 5.5V, and a -40°C to 125°C operating temperature range. The device provides reinforced isolation certified to UL1577 and VDE V 0884-11 standards. Housed in an 8-pin SOIC Wide (DW) package, it operates over -40°C to 125°C.
