The ISO1500 is a galvanically-isolated RS-485/RS-422 transceiver with 3000V RMS isolation rating per UL 1577 . It operates with 1.71V to 5.5V logic-side supply and 4.5V to 5.5V bus-side supply, supporting data rates up to 1 Mbps . The device features 1/8 unit-load receiver allowing up to 256 nodes on a bus, failsafe receiver output for open/short/idle bus conditions, and ±16kV HBM ESD protection on bus I/O . Selection is critical for industrial networks requiring ground loop breaking. Applications include factory automation, motor drives, electricity meters, and HVAC systems.
