ISO1640BDR TI Digital Isolators

The ISO1640B is a low-power bidirectional I²C-compatible isolator with hot-swap capability and enhanced EMC performance, supporting 3 V to 5.5 V on side 1 and 2.25 V to 5.5 V on side 2 . It provides reinforced isolation up to 5000 V_RMS (DW-16) or 3000 V_RMS (D-8) per UL 1577 and features a typical CMTI of ±100 kV/μs . Both SDA and SCL are isolated, with logic inputs and open-drain outputs separated by a double capacitive SiO₂ insulation barrier. The device supports bidirectional data transmission up to 1.7 MHz. Packaged in an 8-pin SOIC, it is suited for isolating I²C buses, SMBus and PMBus interfaces, PoE, motor control systems, and battery management applications where ground-loop interruption and robust galvanic isolation are required .
