The ISO3088DWR is a galvanically-isolated RS-485 transceiver from Texas Instruments featuring high-voltage isolation of 2500 Vrms. The device combines an RS-485 transceiver with an isolation barrier, eliminating the need for separate isolation components. It is compliant with the TIA/EIA-485-A standard and supports data rates up to 20 Mbps. The device features a wide common-mode voltage range, differential signal transmission for high noise immunity, thermal shutdown protection, and a low-power standby mode. The device provides reinforced isolation certified to UL1577 and VDE standards. Housed in a 16-pin SOIC Wide (DW) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C. Applications include industrial automation, motor control, building automation, telecommunications equipment, and any system requiring RS-485 multipoint data transmission with galvanic isolation.
