The LD3985M18R is an ultra-low dropout low-noise BiCMOS linear voltage regulator from STMicroelectronics, providing fixed 1.8V output with up to 150mA current capability . For selection, verify input voltage from 2.5V to 6V, dropout voltage of 100mV typical at 150mA load (0.4mV at 1mA), quiescent current of 85µA typical at no load (170µA at 150mA, max 1.5µA in off mode), output tolerance, output noise of 30µVRMS (10Hz to 100kHz), PSRR of 60dB at 1kHz, fast turn-on time of 200µs typical, and operating temperature from -40°C to +125°C . Features include logic-controlled electronic shutdown (INHIBIT pin), internal current and thermal limit protection, and stability with low-ESR ceramic capacitors. Ideal for battery-powered portable devices, mobile phones, PDAs, laptops, personal audio devices, camcorders and cameras, and any battery-powered system requiring very low dropout, low noise, and shutdown capability for 1.8V supply rails.
