The LF33CV is a very low-dropout voltage regulator from STMicroelectronics in TO-220 through-hole package, providing fixed 3.3V output with up to 500mA current capability. For selection, verify input voltage from 5.3V to 16V (max), typical dropout voltage of 400mV at 500mA load for low power loss, quiescent current of 500µA typical, output tolerance of ±2%, line regulation of 16mV, load regulation of 16mV, and operating temperature from -40°C to +125°C. Features include internal current limiting for short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown for overtemperature protection, and logic-controlled electronic shutdown (inhibit pin) for power management.
