The LF50CV is a very low-dropout voltage regulator from STMicroelectronics in TO-220 through-hole package, providing fixed 5.0V output with up to 500mA current capability and logic-controlled electronic shutdown. For selection, verify input voltage from 5.3V to 16V, typical dropout voltage for low power loss, quiescent current of 500µA typical, output tolerance of ±2%, and operating temperature from -40°C to +125°C. Features include logic-controlled electronic shutdown (inhibit pin) for power management, internal current and thermal limit protection, and stability with 2.2µF capacitor.
