It features 150kHz fixed switching frequency and requires only 4 external components. The device includes thermal shutdown, current limiting, and on/off control pin. Efficiency is up to 80% typical. Packaged in 5-pin TO-263 for surface mounting. Selection is standard for easy-to-use high-current step-down regulation requiring adjustable output. Applications include 12V to 3.3V conversion in industrial controls, automotive electronics, battery-powered equipment, and post-regulation for switching converters requiring up to 3A with adjustable output.
