The LM2676 is a SIMPLE SWITCHER® step-down regulator providing 3A output current with adjustable output from 1.21V to 37V. It operates from 8V to 40V input and features 260kHz fixed switching frequency for high efficiency with small external components. The device includes thermal shutdown, current limiting, and on/off control pin. Efficiency is up to 90% typical. The LM2676 requires only few external components. Selection is standard for easy-to-use high-current step-down regulation. Applications include 12V to 3.3V conversion in industrial controls, automotive electronics, battery-powered equipment, and post-regulation for switching converters requiring up to 3A with adjustable output.
