LM2678SX-5.0/NOPB TI Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Regulators
The LM2678 is a SIMPLE SWITCHER® high-efficiency step-down regulator delivering up to 5-A output current with a fixed 5.0-V output. It operates from an 8-V to 40-V input and features a low 120-mΩ DMOS power switch with efficiency up to 92%. A 260-kHz fixed switching frequency allows for small external components. The device includes thermal shutdown, current limiting, and an on/off control pin. Packaged in a 7-pin TO-263 (SX) (10.16 mm × 8.89 mm) for surface mounting. Ideal for simple-to-design high-efficiency step-down regulation, the LM2678 is suited for 12-V to 5-V conversion in industrial controls, automotive electronics, battery-powered equipment, and post-regulation for switching converters.
