The LM317L is a low-current version of the adjustable 3-terminal regulator, capable of supplying 100mA of output current. It operates over a voltage range of 1.2V to 37V. The device features 0.01%/V typical line regulation and 0.5% typical load regulation. It includes thermal shutdown and current limiting. Selection is ideal for lower power, space-sensitive applications. Typical applications include battery-powered equipment, post-regulation for switching supplies, and local linear regulation on PCBs requiring a precise, low-cost adjustable voltage source in an SOIC-8 package.
