The LM319 is a dual high-speed voltage comparator. It features a fast response time of 80 ns, making it significantly faster than standard comparators like the LM311. It operates from a single supply of 5V to 36V or dual supplies of ±15V. It has open-collector outputs allowing for wired-AND connections. Selection is critical for high-speed analog-to-digital conversion. Applications include high-speed A/D converters, line receivers, zero-crossing detectors, and voltage-to-frequency converters in test and measurement instruments and fast motor control loops.
