LM386N-1/NOPB TI Audio Amplifiers

The LM386 is a low-voltage audio power amplifier designed for portable consumer applications, providing 325mW output power into 8Ω with 9V supply. It operates from 4V to 12V supply and features low quiescent current of 4mA. The gain is internally set to 20 (26dB), but can be increased to 200 (46dB) by adding external components (capacitor between pins 1 and 8). The device features wide supply voltage range, low distortion, and external gain adjust capability. The LM386N-1 is the standard version in 8-pin PDIP package. Selection is ideal for low-power audio amplification in battery-powered devices. Applications include portable audio players, intercom systems, line drivers, ultrasonic drivers, television sound systems, small speakers for toys and games, and guitar practice amplifiers requiring simple, low-cost audio amplification.
