LM397MF/NOPB TI Comparators

The LM397 is a single voltage comparator with wide supply range of 2 V to 30 V single supply (or ±1 V to ±15 V dual). It features open-collector output capable of sinking up to 30 mA, allowing wired-AND connections with other open-collector outputs. The device provides low supply current of 400 µA typical and propagation delay of 1 µs typical. Input common-mode range includes ground. Packaged in SOT-23-5, the LM397 is ideal for general-purpose threshold detection in space-constrained industrial and automotive systems. Applications include window detectors, zero-crossing detectors, battery voltage monitors, oscillator circuits, and analog-to-digital converter front-ends requiring simple, robust comparator functionality with low power consumption and small footprint.
