The LM4040C50 is a precision micropower shunt voltage reference providing a fixed 5.0 V output with 0.5% initial tolerance (C grade) and 100 ppm/°C maximum temperature coefficient . It operates over a 45 µA to 15 mA current range and features low output noise of 35 µVRMS typical and low dynamic impedance. The device requires no external capacitor and is stable with all capacitive loads, eliminating the need for output capacitors in many applications. Operating temperature range is –40°C to 85°C, with availability in extended –40°C to 125°C for Q-grade versions. Packaged in a 3-pin SOT-23-3, this reference is ideal for low-power battery-operated and portable applications requiring a stable 5 V reference.
