The LM4040D is a precision micropower shunt voltage reference providing a fixed 5.0 V output with 1% initial tolerance (D grade) . It operates over a 45-µA to 15-mA current range and features 20-ppm/°C typical temperature coefficient with low dynamic impedance of 0.3 Ω . The device requires no external capacitor and is stable with all capacitive loads. Industrial temperature range is –40°C to 85°C. Selection is ideal for low-power battery-operated and portable applications requiring a stable 5 V reference voltage. Applications include 8- to 12-bit ADC and DAC references, battery-powered instrumentation, portable medical devices, power supply monitoring, and adjustable current sources.
