LM431ACM3X/NOPB TI Voltage Reference
The LM431A is a precision adjustable shunt voltage reference with 0.5% initial tolerance (A-grade). It operates over a current range of 1mA to 100mA and provides adjustable output voltage from 2.495V to 36V using two external resistors. The device features 50ppm/°C typical temperature drift and low output impedance. Selection is the industry standard for voltage references and error amplifiers in power supplies. Applications include isolated feedback loops in switching power supplies (via optocoupler), precision voltage monitoring circuits, adjustable linear regulators, and constant-current sinks for LED drivers requiring high accuracy.
