The LM5156 is a wide-input non-synchronous boost, flyback, and SEPIC controller using peak current mode control . It operates from 2.97 V to 60 V (65-V abs max), with a minimum boost supply down to 1.5 V when BIAS ≥3.5 V. Quiescent current is low (490 µA typical, 2.6 µA in shutdown), minimizing battery drain. Features include a 1.5-A standard MOSFET driver, programmable switching frequency up to 2.2 MHz, optional clock synchronization, and spread spectrum for EMI mitigation. Integrated protection includes hiccup mode overload protection, OVP, and thermal shutdown. Packaged in a 12-pin WSON (3 mm × 2 mm), it is suited for battery applications, telecom, and automotive systems requiring high voltage step-up conversion.
