The LM5166 is a 3-V to 65-V input, 0.5-A synchronous step-down converter with ultra-low 9-µA quiescent current (typical), ideal for battery-powered always-on applications. It features constant on-time (COT) control for fast transient response, integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs, and programmable switching frequency up to 1 MHz. Packaged in a 10-pin VSON (DRC) (3 mm × 3 mm) with PowerPAD, it is suited for industrial sensors and battery management systems. Applications include 24-V and 48-V industrial power distribution, solar-powered battery chargers, and electric vehicle systems requiring high efficiency over a wide input range.
