LM555CMMX/NOPB TI Programmable Timers and Oscillators
The LM555 is a precision timing circuit capable of producing accurate time delays and oscillation, operating from 4.5 V to 16 V supply . It features high current output of 200 mA sink or source, with 1% timing accuracy when using precision RC components. The device operates in both monostable (one-shot) and astable (free-running) modes, with adjustable duty cycle and frequency up to 100 kHz . Power dissipation is 613 mW, and the output can drive TTL-compatible loads. Commercial temperature range is 0°C to 70°C. Selection is standard for general-purpose timing applications in commercial products. Applications include pulse generation, frequency division, time-delay generation, missing pulse detection, pulse-width modulation (PWM), and LED flashers in consumer electronics and industrial control panels.
