The LM828 is a switched-capacitor voltage converter capable of producing a negative output voltage from a positive input, operating from 1.8 V to 5.5 V supply . It provides up to 25-mA output current with 98% typical power efficiency. The device can be configured as a voltage inverter (VOUT = –VIN) or as a voltage doubler, requiring only two external capacitors . Oscillator frequency is 10 kHz typical, and quiescent current is 110 µA. Operating temperature range is –40°C to 85°C. Selection is ideal for generating negative supplies in portable electronics with minimal external components.
