LMC555CMX/NOPB TI Programmable Timers and Oscillators
The LMC555 is a CMOS version of the industry-standard 555 timer, offering ultra-low power consumption and high-frequency capability. It operates from 1.5V to 15V supply and consumes only 150µA typical quiescent current, significantly lower than bipolar 555 devices. The device provides 10MHz maximum frequency and 100mA output drive capability. It features adjustable duty cycle and requires significantly lower timing capacitor values due to high input impedance. Selection is ideal for battery-powered timing applications requiring low power consumption. Applications include precision timing and oscillation in portable electronics, pulse generation, frequency division, missing pulse detection, and low-power LED flashers for IoT sensors and medical devices.
