The LMR14020 is a 2 A step-down converter operating from a wide 4 V to 40 V input, ideal for industrial and automotive applications . It integrates a 90 mΩ high-side MOSFET, features a 40 μA typical quiescent current in sleep mode (1 μA in shutdown), and supports a switching frequency adjustable from 200 kHz to 2.5 MHz with external synchronization capability . The current-mode control provides excellent line and load regulation, while an internal compensation network reduces external component count. Additional features include a precision enable pin, external soft-start, thermal protection, over-voltage and short-circuit protection. Packaged in an 8-pin HSOIC with PowerPAD™, this device is optimal for battery-powered systems, telecom and data-com power, and automotive battery regulation requiring high efficiency and robust thermal performance .
