LMR64010XMFX/NOPB TI DC-DC Switching Regulators
The LMR64010XMFX/NOPB is a current-mode SIMPLE SWITCHER® boost converter from Texas Instruments, operating at a fixed 1.6 MHz switching frequency. It requires a minimum 2.7V input and can generate outputs up to 40V, delivering up to 1A switch current. The device employs a nonsynchronous boost topology with a built-in 1A power switch, and operates over a -40°C to 125°C junction temperature range. Verify the input voltage stays between 2.7V and 14V, and confirm the output does not exceed the 40V absolute maximum. The adjustable output is set with an external resistor divider from a 3V internal reference. Ensure the inductor selection keeps peak switch currents below the 1A limit, particularly at minimum input voltage and maximum load. The shutdown pin can be driven low to reduce supply current to under 1µA, preserving battery life. With internal compensation and cycle-by-cycle current limiting, design is simplified. Ideal applications include battery-powered equipment, LCD bias supplies, portable instruments, DSL/cable modems, and local 5V/12V/24V boost converters in industrial control and automotive systems.
