The LP2980 is a 50-mA low-dropout regulator with a fixed 3.0 V output, operating from 2.1 V to 16 V input. It features ultra-low dropout voltage of 200 mV at 50 mA load and consumes 1.1 μA typical quiescent current in shutdown. The device includes current limiting and thermal protection. The LP2980 is stable with ceramic output capacitors of 2.2 μF or greater. Packaged in a 5-pin SOT-23, it is ideal for battery-powered systems requiring low power consumption.
