The LP2980 is a 50-mA low-dropout linear regulator with a fixed 5.0-V output, operating from a 2.1-V to 16-V input. It features ultra-low dropout voltage of 200 mV at 50 mA load and consumes 1.1 µA typical quiescent current in shutdown. The device includes current limiting and thermal protection.
