LP2981AIM5X-5.0/NOPB TI Voltage Regulators - Linear, Low Drop Out (LDO)
The LP2981 is a 100-mA micropower LDO with a fixed 5.0 V output, operating from 2.1 V to 16 V input. It features an ultra-low dropout voltage of 200 mV at 100 mA and consumes only 1.1 μA typical quiescent current in shutdown. The device includes an enable pin for power sequencing, current limiting, and thermal protection. The LP2981 is stable with ceramic or tantalum output capacitors of 2.2 μF or greater. Packaged in a 5-pin SOT-23, it is ideal for battery-powered systems requiring low power consumption. Applications include portable medical devices, wireless sensors, handheld instruments, and battery-powered consumer electronics requiring extended battery life for a 5-V rail.
