LP2992AIM5-5.0/NOPB TI Voltage Regulators - Linear, Low Drop Out (LDO)
The LP2992 is a 250mA low-noise LDO providing fixed 5.0V output, designed for high-performance portable applications. It operates from 2.5V to 16V input and features ultra-low dropout voltage of 0.6V typical at 250mA load. The device consumes only 85µA typical quiescent current (1µA in shutdown) and offers 68dB PSRR at 1kHz. Output noise is 30µVrms typical. The LP2992 is stable with ceramic output capacitors as small as 4.7µF. Selection is ideal for noise-sensitive RF and analog circuits requiring fixed 5V supply. Applications include powering VCOs and PLLs in wireless devices, audio codec power, camera sensor supplies, and portable medical instruments where low noise and low dropout are critical.
