The LV3842X is a current-mode PWM controller with low start-up current, operating from 10 V to 30 V supply . It features a trimmed oscillator for accurate frequency control, 1-A totem-pole output for driving power MOSFETs, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO) with 16-V on threshold and 10-V off hysteresis. The device includes cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal protection, with low start-up current of 0.5 mA typical. Operating temperature range is –40°C to 105°C. Selection is ideal for off-line and DC-DC converter designs requiring robust current-mode control. Applications include switching power supplies (flyback and forward converters), battery chargers, AC-DC adapters, and industrial power converters requiring low start-up current.
