It features two drivers and two receivers meeting TIA/EIA-232-F standards, with a charge pump requiring only four 0.1µF capacitors. The device supports data rates up to 250kbps. The 'E' version provides improved ESD robustness for harsh environments. Selection is standard for 5V serial communication requiring industrial-grade protection.
