MCP9700T-E/TT MICROCHIP Analog and Digital Output

The MCP9700T-E/TT from Microchip is a low‑power Linear Active Thermistor™ IC whose analog voltage output is directly proportional to measured temperature. For selection, it operates from 2.3V to 5.5V, draws just 6µA typical supply current, and outputs 10mV/°C with a 500mV offset at 0°C, enabling direct connection to an ADC input without extra signal‑conditioning circuits. Accuracy is ±4°C from 0°C to +70°C over a -40°C to +125°C range; the optimized output also drives large capacitive loads for long PCB traces. In application, it excels in general‑purpose temperature monitoring across hard disk drives, PC peripherals, entertainment systems, home appliances, office equipment, battery packs and portable devices, and is equally suited for industrial, consumer electronics, power management, and automotive systems where a compact SOT‑23‑3 footprint and no external components are critical.
