The MIC5235-3.3YM5-TR from Microchip is an ultra-low quiescent current 150mA µCap LDO regulator with a 3.3V fixed output, optimized for systems requiring extended battery life and wide input tolerance. For selection, it features a 2.3V to 24V input voltage range with 310mV dropout at full load and ±2.0% output accuracy, enabling stable operation from multi-cell Li-Ion or USB power sources. Its µCap design ensures stability with ceramic or tantalum capacitors as low as 2.2µF, while enable input, thermal shutdown, current limit, and reverse battery/reverse leakage protection enhance system reliability. In application, it excels in USB-powered devices, cellular phones, and portable electronics using 1–3 cell Li-Ion inputs, as well as keep-alive supplies in notebooks, portable computers, and industrial sensors where ultra-low ground current and high voltage tolerance are critical.
