P82B96DGKR TI Signal Buffers, Repeaters, Splitters

The P82B96DGKR is a dual bidirectional I2C bus buffer from Texas Instruments that supports bidirectional data transfer between an I2C bus and a variety of other bus configurations with different voltage and current levels. It operates over a wide supply range of 2V to 15V, supporting 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V, 9V, and 12V logic levels. The device isolates bus capacitance, allowing up to 400pF on the main side and 4000pF on the transmission side, and supports 400kHz Fast I2C bus operation over at least 20 meters of wire. It features high current sink capability for driving low-impedance or high-capacitance buses and latch-up performance exceeding 100mA per JESD 78 Class II. Housed in an 8-pin VSSOP (DGK) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C. Applications include industrial automation, process control, signal processing, consumer electronics, and long-distance I2C bus extension.
