The PCA9515A is a bidirectional I2C bus repeater designed for extending the I2C bus reach and isolating bus capacitance. It operates from a 2.3V to 5.5V supply and supports standard mode (100kHz) and fast mode (400kHz) I2C speeds. The device buffers both SDA and SCL signals, allowing two buses of up to 400pF to be connected without performance degradation. Packaged in an 8-pin SOIC (D) (4.9mm × 3.91mm), it is ideal for extending I2C bus reach in industrial control systems, servers, and telecom equipment.
