PCA9517DGKR TI Signal Buffers, Repeaters, Splitters

The PCA9517DGKR is a bidirectional I2C bus and SMBus level translator and buffer from Texas Instruments that provides level shifting and signal buffering between two I2C buses operating at different voltage levels. The device features voltage level translation of SDA and SCL signals between 1.8V to 5V on the low side and 2.7V to 5V on the high side, enabling seamless communication in mixed-voltage systems. It includes integrated current sources, supports standard mode and fast mode I2C devices up to 400kHz, and features robust ESD protection. Housed in an 8-pin VSSOP (DGK) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C. Applications include I2C bus level translation between different logic families, SMBus interfaces in computing systems, and mixed-voltage server and telecom infrastructure.
