PCA9517DR TI Signal Buffers, Repeaters, Splitters

The PCA9517DR is a level-translating I2C bus repeater from Texas Instruments that provides bidirectional voltage-level translation between low voltages (down to 0.9V) and higher voltages (2.7V to 5.5V) in mixed-mode applications. It operates with an A-side voltage range of 0.9V to 5.5V and a B-side range of 2.7V to 5.5V, enabling seamless communication in mixed-voltage systems. The device buffers both serial data (SDA) and serial clock (SCL) signals, allowing two buses of 400-pF bus capacitance to be connected. Key features include an active-high repeater-enable input, lockup-free operation, powered-off high-impedance I2C pins, and 5.5V-tolerant I2C and enable inputs. Housed in an 8-pin SOIC (D) package, it operates over -40°C to 85°C.
